Baba says it has served 10,000 patients and has 100,000 on its waitlist
During the interview, the host said Baba had helped 10,000 patients and had 100,000 people on its waitlist. Sweeney said the service is covered by insurance and that the waitlist reflects the company’s work to persuade additional health plans to offer it; he cited Cigna as an example. The human-to-human service still limits capacity, although some plans that joined earlier are rapidly expanding their use of it.
Sweeney also said the team had doubled since its previous appearance on the show and now has just under 20 people, about half of them engineers. The team is based in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. The company is hiring for applied-AI work.
