Guest contrasts Porsche and Ferrari driving experiences and questions Ferrari’s scarcity strategy

The guest questioned Ferrari’s direction, saying the company seems intent on making many cars while presenting each as rare and requiring special permission to buy. He stressed that Ferrari will not become Porsche: in his view, the brands deliver different driving experiences. He called his manual Porsche 992 GT3 the best manual car he had driven; he also owns a Ferrari 430 Scuderia converted to a manual. The two cars, he said, have around 500 horsepower and similar weight, but feel completely different. He described Porsche as more “sanitized” and Ferrari as more old-school, with a deliberately imperfect character.
