Personal AI agents may become a major AI category

A small seed investor in Instinct called personal AI agents a potentially major next category in AI, saying the products had made a strong impression even on family members who do not use technology. Unlike the Claude Code and Codex boom, which especially appealed to people comfortable with terminals and code, these agents can offer value to people without a GitHub account.

The investor expects major AI labs and companies to compete to create similarly appealing agent experiences and bring them to enterprise use. She said their simple interactions and proactive features could transfer to enterprise, and predicted a market with multiple agents and approaches rather than a winner-take-all outcome.
