Malibu Boats expands internationally after acquiring Saxdor

Malibu Boats acquired Saxdor in March, adding manufacturing operations in Finland and Poland to its predominantly U.S.-based footprint. Before the deal, less than 5% of the company’s revenue came from international markets; the company has about 3,000 employees and just under $1 billion in revenue.

The company is integrating Saxdor, expanding its global dealer network for brands including Malibu, Pursuit and Cobalt, and plans to bring Saxdor manufacturing to the United States. It said the acquisition opens opportunities in new geographies and market segments, although it provided no timeline or quantified targets for the expansion.

Malibu Boats also said it relies on training programs and industry partnerships to develop skilled workers for specialized manufacturing roles.
