AI adoption framework pairs experimentation with limits on delegation
A proposed company framework for AI adoption combines broad access to the tools, time for employees to experiment, education about practical use cases and the creation of new roles for workers who thrive with AI. It distinguishes reliably offloading routine work from over-delegating tasks in ways that reduce quality, while presenting AI as a productivity tool comparable to computers, calculators and the internet.
The assessment highlights a sharp knowledge gap: most people see AI as an unreliable search engine, while an estimated 1–2% use it daily, integrate it into companies and study its capabilities. Fear and confusion could create a political vacuum for simplistic responses to complex problems; if AI benefits only a small group, the resulting dissatisfaction could lead to protests, political toxicity and upheaval, threatening democracy and free markets.
