Nebius gains from mid-market demand CoreWeave cannot serve promptly

CoreWeave is described as the technology leader, with extensive monitoring data and peak deployment of 10,000 GPUs a week. But its balance sheet is full and resources to expand are limited, leaving room for Nebius in the sizable middle tier of the market.

One customer reportedly had $100 million and was trying to give it to CoreWeave, which said it could not accept the business until May of the following year because it was backed up. Nebius has capitalized on this demand and, according to the assessment, executed well. Testing found the quality of Nebius and CoreWeave’s managed clusters difficult to distinguish.

The providers are also pursuing bare-metal deals, inference endpoints and reinforcement-learning infrastructure. Other companies are currently ahead in some of those areas; bare-metal offerings were not included in the cited ranking.
