Qualcomm’s Amon Sees Smart Glasses Reaching an Inflection Point

Amon said most new classes of devices are already using Qualcomm chips. He expects smart glasses to reach an inflection point, arguing that their cameras, proximity to the eyes, mouth and ears, and head movement could enable functions such as “see what I see, read what I read, hear what I hear.”

He described glasses, camera-equipped earbuds, jewelry, pins and buttons as emerging personal AI device form factors, and predicted that the category will become very large.
