Porsche brand remains strong despite EV challenges, assessment says
Porsche is assessed as having faced setbacks in the electric-vehicle market, while its brand remains strong despite pressure on the company’s financial results. The brand is also viewed as having avoided a major visual or image crisis that could damage its long-term appeal.
The Cayenne EV Turbo S is described as delivering extreme performance, with an estimated 0–60 mph time of about two seconds. Its popularity, however, could be limited by the lack of self-driving capabilities comparable to Tesla’s, the assessment says.
Demand for Porsche’s manual models is viewed as durable: the 911 ST reportedly sold for more than $1 million per car, while the return of a manual Carrera S is predicted to be successful.
