Texas governor-elect calls for rules governing data centers

The hosts quoted Texas governor-elect Gina in response to a CNN question about the market decline and investor concerns over her data-center policy. She said the state had always been pro-business, but that partnerships must now benefit Texans. According to her, data centers had mostly moved into rural communities without rules or laws to protect residents, and Texans were being taken advantage of. She said she wanted development to continue, but with new negotiations and rules. Investor Tae Kim responded, “buy stocks”; a co-host said he had also urged people to “buy the dip.” That was his optimistic view, not an announced government policy or confirmation that new rules had already been enacted.
