Baba raises $40 million in Series A
Baba announced a $40 million Series A. The startup had discussed its seed round on the show in February; founder and CEO Connor Sweeney said the company had moved quickly since then. Investors named in the discussion included FirstMark Capital, CVS Health Ventures, General Catalyst and Genius Ventures.
Baba is a care-support platform connecting older adults and their families, often people covered by Medicare, with nurses and social workers. The specialists help coordinate care, including benefits enrollment, finding appropriate appointments and arranging transportation.
