Outset aims to expand AI research into autonomous business action

Outset says it is building toward models that conduct research before a person explicitly asks a question, seeking answers to business issues decision-makers may not yet know matter. The proposed system could detect changes such as falling revenue in a sector, send agents to investigate, and consult existing simulations.

The longer-term vision extends beyond collecting and synthesizing feedback to taking action. One example is sending specifications to Cognition for implementation. The proactive, implementation-oriented workflow is presented as a direction Outset is building toward, not as a fully described current product.
