Vibe coding can reproduce Slack’s look—but not its adoption

A team used vibe coding to rapidly create a Slack-like product. The prototype looked like Slack and included video calling, demonstrating how quickly AI-assisted development can reproduce the interface and some functions of a mature enterprise product.

Adoption proved more difficult than development: the product experienced high churn and ultimately was not used. The example highlights the gap between generating a convincing prototype and building sustained usage.
