Pioneer Labs says its engineered microbe can make bioplastics from Martian resources

Pioneer Labs CEO Erica Alden says the company has engineered a microbe that consumes Martian soil, water and air and turns them into bioplastics.

The company proposed using the material to build houses from local resources rather than transporting all construction materials from Earth.
