Type founder brings a decade of collaboration-software experience to AI-agent tools

Type was started about a year ago, after its founder spent roughly a decade building collaboration and chat products. The founder’s previous company, Help, had Slack as an investor and was acquired by Atlassian; OpenAI used the product.

The founder sees AI agents as creating a fundamentally different way of working and considers a new generation of collaboration tools necessary for agent-based work.
