Apple’s Foldable iPhone Duo Draws Attention at the Emmys

Apple executive John Ternus showed the foldable iPhone Duo at the Emmys. The presentation drew a more positive reaction than an earlier Tim Cook appearance featuring the iPhone 17 Pro, largely because the foldable device was seen as offering something genuinely novel.

The iPhone Duo is still barely in the wild. Reviewers have reportedly been allowed to handle the device at Apple’s site, but Apple has not sent out review units; broader access may come later. Its larger screen could be useful for watching video or traveling without carrying an iPad or laptop, though it remains uncertain how people will use it and how much launch interest will translate into adoption.
