Activision executive highlights Call of Duty’s scale and career path

An Activision marketing executive described a career spanning music, sneakers, Google and Quibi before joining the Call of Duty organization. He said he had worked on Call of Duty for about six years and was excited to bring MW4 to market this year.

He said Quibi launched as COVID-19 was breaking out and that he still believed in its product, but considered the timing poor. After Quibi shut down, some of its shows went on to win Emmys, he said.

The executive described a franchise with 24 games, plus the free-to-play Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile. He said Call of Duty Mobile has reached a billion downloads and is particularly significant in Southeast Asia, China and other developing markets.
