Trader Togi switched his Moderna position ahead of the stock’s plunge
Shane Stauffer, known as Togi, is a fitness and gambling influencer who, according to the host, nearly timed Moderna’s share-price drop. On October 4, he said most traders were bearish on Moderna and bought call options. After dreaming that the stock had reached $275, he asked Claude what might take it to that price and then learned about Moderna’s cancer vaccine. The host said the shares rose 25% over the next two weeks and Togi’s portfolio of calls was worth as much as $11 million.
Togi then worried that expectations were already priced in. He said that after another dream he expected the shares to rise 22%, but woke to find his position down nearly $200,000. He had originally planned to switch from long to short on Friday, October 23, ahead of the trial results’ release on Saturday. After seeing the drop, he moved up the plan: he sold his position at a loss, freeing roughly $500,000, and bought put options.
After the results leaked, the stock fell 26%. Togi called it luck that panic had led him to change his original plan; the hosts likewise described the timing as luck rather than an obviously constructed strategy. The account does not establish insider knowledge or a causal link between his trades and the leak.
