iPhone 18 keeps familiar design as Apple updates Apple Intelligence

Apple’s launch updated Apple Intelligence and introduced the standard iPhone 18. The device is described as retaining roughly the same form factor while becoming thinner, lighter and faster, with improved battery performance and a new chip.

The hardware upgrades may be most noticeable in on-device Apple Intelligence features. It remains unclear which capabilities will be available on the standard model; some functions could be limited to Pro versions if they require additional memory for local processing.
